The hot humid air was oddly comforting as I stepped out of Ninoy Aquino Airport, maybe because it was the first welcome sign that I was finally back to my roots.
I had only a short two days in Singapore, but thanks to my friends halfway across the globe, I was able to get a local's view of the lion city's food, culture and breathtaking urban metropolis.
The clouds continued to slowly glide over Big Sur but no storm could stop us from exploring this coast's vast beauty. In fact, the rain seemed to magnify the wonder that was already there.
We hopped between Oregon and Washington and thanks to a couple of a friends, we found ourselves constantly amongst the beauty of rivers, waterfalls, forests, mountains and gorges.
It was a little eerie being surrounded by such a desolate area but it’s places like these that leave you wondering about the past of the pieces left behind.
